Weddings: Couples wishing to be married in the Parish of Labrador West need to contact the Rector at least
60 days before the proposed date. Couples are also expected to take a Marriage Preparation Course before
their Wedding. If you live in Labrador West, we offer a course each Spring for couples planning to be married
within the year. If you live outside of Labrador West, you should contact clergy at the Anglican Church in
your area for Marriage Preparation options. Most places offer some form of Marriage Preparation.

You will also have to arrange a Marriage Licence, issued by the Provincial Government. This Marriage
Licence must be given to the Rector at least four days before the date of the Wedding.

Baptisms: This is a glorious and grace-filled event in the life of a child...or an adult! Baptism is a Sacrament
of the church, by which people (young or old) become members of Christ's body -- the Church. We are always
happy to welcome new people into the Church through this sacrament of Holy Baptism! If you desire Baptism
for your child, or for yourself, please contact the Parish Office to schedule an interview with the Rector.

Confirmation: We normally celebrate Confirmation in early December, when our Bishop visits our Parish.
Confirmation classes usually begin in September and run until Confirmation. Young people around 12 years old
or older are welcome to attend these classes in preparation for Confirmation. Normally, one or both of the
parents also attend the Confirmation classes. To find out more information, or to place someone's name on the
