The Parish of Labrador West: Outreach
Priest-in-Charge: The Reverend Wayne Parsons
Our Parish Family participates in various forms of Outreach within our community, to other parts of our
Province, to other areas of our Country, and throughout the world!

Food Bank: Our Parish supports the Labrador West Ministerial Association Food Bank through our numerous
volunteers, and by providing donations of food on a regular basis.

Hospital Services: Hospital visitation is a regular element of our Rector's schedule. If you would like a visit
while you are in hospital, please get the Nursing staff to contact the Rector and let him know. Additionally, as
one of the members of the Ministerial Association, our Parish leads worship in the Chapel at the Hospital on a
regular basis.

The Labrador Coast: Our Parish regularly supports special projects or requests from Parishes on the Coast of
Labrador, particularly the Parishes of Cartwright and Battle Harbour. We also collect donations of used clothing
which are then shipped to Happy Valley/Goose Bay for distribution along the Coast. Also, we are currently
engaged in the Battle Harbour Mission Project to help provide a second priest in the Parish of Battle Harbour.

National and International Support: Our Parish has offered financial and prayerful support to the Street
Ministry work of Sanctuary in downtown Toronto. We are also regular supporters of The Primate's World Relief
and Development Fund (PWRDF), which supports projects in Canada and around the world. Through our young
people, we annually support Operation Christmas Child, which provides Christmas gifts to children in
Third-world countries. Through our ACW's we also support Foster Children, the Leprosy Mission, and the
School for the Deaf in St. John's.
